The Hon. Brad Hazzard MP, Minister for Health, will launch the framework and will be joined by a panel of people with lived experience and expertise speaking to the value of trauma-informed care. My story, my health, my future will guide the health system’s responses to children and young people who have experienced trauma, as well as their families and carers. It builds on work already happening across NSW Health to ensure our patients receive optimum, person-centred and trauma-informed care. The panel discussion will be moderated by the event’s Master of Ceremonies, Nina Funnell, Walkley Award winning journalist, victim advocate and creator of the #LetHerSpeak and #JusticeShouldn’tHurt campaign.
